Registration is open for the 8th annual LeSauk Lions Golf Scramble Fundraiser on June 19th at Blackberry Ridge in Sartell. Lions Club First Vice President Matt Lingle talked with KNSI News and said the proceeds would help children. “This is going to go to different things and most likely, it’s going to go to help fight childhood cancer and diabetes that this event will fundraise for.”
He says there are three reasons to join. “Who doesn’t like to have fun on the golf course? Second of all, there’s a beverage cart, so it can make golf even more fun than it typically can be. And third of all, you’re helping your community.”
The event is limited to 144 golfers on a first-come, first-served basis. The price per golfer is $100.
Last year, the golf outing helped raise money for an inclusive playground project at Lions Park in Sartell. Work is underway, and officials will hold a ribbon cutting in September.
